I was asked by the City of Castle Rock, Colorado to photograph the Annual Ducky Derby sponsored by the Rotary Club. It was a really fun event that culminated in the racing of thousands of duckies through Castle Rock for a $3,000 prize.

I’ve been lucky enough to be involved with the Emerging Exposures project Sabin World Photo Club. Jill Mott and Amy Blomquist started Emerging Exposures to bring photography to grade school children. I volunteered with several of my fellow classmates from the Art Institute of Colorado in helping with exploring photography at Sabin World Elementary School. We would pair up with students and help them explore different angles and concepts when thinking about how to take their photographs. We all met up again at Sabin yesterday to celebrate the students and their amazing work. Here are some of my portraits of the students involved as well as some of my images from the show.
Madison and Olivia are my boyfriend’s nieces. They are both beautiful and a ton of fun to work with.
I was so impressed with this couple. Their care for each other during our shoot was really beautiful. I feel lucky to have met Stephanie while I’ve been in school, and even more lucky to have been apart of this memorable time in their lives.
